The Treatment

Space Itself.

Step inside our stunning Studio…

Somewhere that has been lovingly renovated by our Founder herself.

Between treating and teaching elsewhere, Sarah spent a few solid months (with the help of her Dad on Saturdays) slowing tending to the transformation of this light-filled studio situated upstairs on Gertrude.

Somewhere she’s always wanted to Be in Fitzroy.

And only 100m from where she WAS; behind The Workers’

“The process of restoring this studio fit for it’s new purpose, was a real Rite of Passage for me as a Therapist, as a Yogi and as a woman/femme in general. I’d say the birth of Somewhere to Be in this new iteration has seen me transition on a personal level, from Maiden to Mother, in many ways.

It’s creation continues to teach me that I not only *should* (still practicing loosening the grip of ‘shoulds’ over here…) but rather; I MUST give myself the same Grace I’d offer any one of my clients or students in the same sort of life-changing circumstances or big creative birthing process… otherwise who am I to say anything about somatics ?!

This business is so close to my heart because it embodies some important parts of my life’s work & soul mission.

Reshaping my own nervous system, these past few years in particular, has taken a lot dedication and determination. It’s an ongoing work in progress, of course, but overall I’ve been able to tend to it in small ways, over time, to safely see it expand in capacity following the constriction that chronic stress and burnout brings.

Somatic Therapy has given me the regulation skills to handle stress with more resiliency and do this huge thing I never otherwise would’ve been able to hold.

This kind of self-attunement, just like practicing Yoga, I see now as a way of life.

Attuning to a more nuanced understanding of our own nervous system patterns and programming, in order to navigate everything with more ease; from the smallest of steps - the daily & the mundane - to some of the biggest decisions we’ll maybe ever make.

It has been my absolute honour and pleasure to bring this beautifully bespoke studio to life. It means a great deal to me and I can’t wait to welcome you in for a treatment, a yoga practice - or both - supporting you on your own somatic journey toward expansion and authentic expression; as I’ve done so far and will continue to do ongoing ~ slowly, steadily and with compassion in mind, body & heart, alongside you all.”
